- The internal structure of LookCFD allows any of the above objects to be used as input for any other object resulting in great flexibility and adaptation without issuing complicated commands.
- It is possible to create e.g. pathlines from points, lines, spheres, cubes, from a portion of the grid, from an isosurface etc.
- 3D visualization of 2D axisymmetric simulations. 2D simulations have been for years the first choice for quick results provided that there is a symmetry in the computational domain (spherical – cylindrical domains). These 2D datasets can now easily be visualized as full 3D. LookCFD implements a special tool to produce 3D visualization using axisymmetric 2D datasets providing all the necessary options for the rotation (axis, circumferencial resolution e.t.c.) using a step by step procedure.

- Share information: LookCFD document is independent from the source datasets which can be extremely larger in size. Therefore the *.cfd file can be sent as an email or copied without the need to include the source data.
- Besides the above classic CFD visualization objects it is possible to create animations from a number of different sources:
- animate pathlines: see in real "field" time the development of the flow field
- create camera paths: travel through the created 3D object following a predefined route. View the results from diferent perspectives. No more unvisible spots and hidden areas. Animate results of time dependent calculations and create videos or save each frame as images.
- Ergonomic user interface. LookCFD is a post processing application that allows the user to focus on the processing of the results without wasting time in compicated and lengthy operations. The controls are context-sensitive and online help is availiable on any task.
